Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi here today had a detailed discussion with a 14-member delegation of Japan’s international Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) to explore greater partnership and investment in different sectors in the state.
The delegation led by FEC Vice-President Kenichi Watanabe acquainted themselves with Gujarat’s economic development and industrial policies, particularly in manufacturing, automobiles, hotel and hospitality, medical equipment manufacturing, land acquisition policy, high-speed railway project and Indo-Japan Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project.Mr. Modi briefed them about skilled human resources in Gujarat, its people’s enterprising spirit and global outlook, as well as about the present Gujarat Government’s progressive and proactive investor-friendly transparent policies, its advantage of 1,600-km long coastline for maritime trade for greater cooperation between Japan and India.
Gujarat Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary G.C.Murmu, Principal Industries Secretary M. Sahu and iNDEXTb Managing Director Mukesh Kumar were also present during the meeting.
