The Preface begins with ‘The Book Talks….’ And I drifted to dive into Imagination world to end up with ocean of poetic conversation with self, seeking to enlighten my journey to sublime illumination!

The Poet Monica Gupta has used the words more consciously dealing with deep human emotions, philosophical thought which have strong visual and sensory impact. Spontaneous as I feel and vividly descriptive. The vibrations drift the tone and mood revealing Attitude – feelings with style of language or expression of thought used to develop the subject. Certain tones include the depth. Words reveal deep truth, irony and satire. Even inspiring, philosophical, life lessons, reflections, love, on everyday life as the Book contents divides into these sections of forms of Poetry.

The writing reflects effective therapy to a depressed mind too. Life’s struggle and strife, facing hardship yet living in absolute reality is a challenge. Here’s when Monica’s writing come forth to eliminate darkness and self innovate to dive into own reflections. Words evoke mental images that carry depths of meaning.  Imagination, combination of diction and tangible initial impact has the potential to tap the inner wisdom of a reader to arouse responses of meditative feel, inspiring, loving and supportive to reveal life lessons worth living to the mark.

‘Laugh Away’ is one example of a penned poem by the Author that reflects a rhyme and reason to live to leave behind strife.

Monica Gupta says,

Like a preposterous kid,
Life tickles amidst serious mid.
With disciplined practice, I try to fight its fervid will,
only to realize, it hurts more in a rigit still.
So now, like a jester, I wiggle and jiggle,
Laughing along with the Life’s tickle.

Monica Gupta choose her words that follow each other in a sequence determined to discuss the arrangements that result certain terms. Her point of view is from her perspectives and talks of another character.

For eg. In the Chapter “Love”

I said “Enough”, you said “more”

You said, “speed”, I said, “slow”

The rifts grew into ridges,

Drifting us to different shores,

But the heart needs no bridges or boats,

A smile is enough to set us forth.

More, what I observed are the thought provoking liners, soulful musings, inspiring quotations and well depicted with eye catching visuals – well placed, thoughtfully planned and organized. It definitely captivates the readers. In My Duos, she begins, “My pen breathes life into the musings of my heart and mind. Together with my diary, they are my closest companions. …..Further, she adds her narrative imagination that flow words to powerful might of a Pen with a visual of a neat pen graphic, quite appealing and appropriate to the words.

Nope, I wouldn’t prolong my review more as this “Illuminating Darkness” by Monica Gupta is truly mesmerizing that you would even want to flaunt to recite her verses ! There are many Poems, quotes and musings, a delight for light, quick read and ponder over for a while – wondering and wandering to Neverlands to enlighten self and illuminate darkness.

A sure pick – Read and Recite, Think and dream, enlighten and illuminate all darkness around the soul. Just be Human and spread the love.
