ICE-CREAM MONTH IN US - JULY
National Ice-cream month was designated by Ronald Reagan in 1984 in US. He also appointed the third Sunday in July as National Ice-cream Day. As 90% population consumed Ice-cream in US, Regan made these events observe with appropriate ceremonies and activities. International Ice -cream Association encourage retailers and consumers to celebrate July as National Ice Cream Month and day. They provide thousands of jobs for US citizens and generates annually in sales approx.20 billion dollars plus. Every year more percentage of milk produced by dariy farmers is used to produce Ice-cream.

HALL OF FAME RECIPES!
MINT REFRESHER
INGREDIENTS
600 ml Milk (preferably 7% fats)
250 gms Cream
150 gms Sugar
3 teaspoons Cournflour
3 tablespoon Mint Leaves crushed in mixer with little milk
Vanilla Slice Cakes
METHOD:
* Take a cup of milk in a bowl
* Dissolve Cornflour completely in milk to avoid lump formation and keep aside
* Heat the remaining milk
* When it starts boiling, add Sugar and cornflour mixture
* Stir and boil for 5 minutes
* Allow it to cool to room temperature
* Add Cream and crushed mint
* Stir and pour in SOFTEL (Or any ice-cream maker machine) to churn till it becomes firm.
Set in Freezer for some time
PRESENTATION PROCESS:
Take a Champagne Glass and place the Vanilla cake in it.
Place the Scoop of Mint Ice-cream over it.
Arrange small Pineapple pieces along the sides of the glass
Topple a cherry over the Ice-cream scoop and place a wafer biscuit
READY TO SERVE - EAT AND RELISH THE TASTE OF THE YUMMY "SOFTEL" TREAT! ENJOY!
Variations : Chocolate Mint Ice-cream
Before churning in Softel, add 2 tablespoons of Cocoa and drinking chocolate mix in the prepared above method for churning. Rest method remains same
Coconut Mint Ice-cream
Before churning in Softel, add 2 tablespoons of fresh grated Coconut in the prepared above method for churning. Rest method remains same

CINDERELLA SCOOP
INGREDIENTS
600 ml Milk (preferably 7% fats)
250 gms cream
150 gms sugar
3 tablespoons Cornflour
1 small tea cup steam boiled yellow Pumpkin pieces
4 Powdered cardomoms
Powdered Pista, cashew, Almond and grated coconut for Decoration
METHOD:
* Take a cup of milk in a bowl
* Dissolve Cornflour completely in milk to avoid lump formation and keep aside
* Heat the remaining milk
* When it starts boiling, add Sugar and cornflour mixture
* Stir and boil for 5 minutes
* Allow it to cool to room temperature
* Add Cream, steam boiled pumpkin pieces and powdered cardomom
* Stir and pour in SOFTEL (Or any ice-cream maker machine) to churn till it becomes firm.
Set in Freezer for some time
PRESENTATION PROCESS:
Take a Glass Bowl and place a Scoop of Pumpkin Ice-cream in it
Topple with Powdered Pista, cashew, Almonds and grated coconut
Place an Ice-cream spoon or paper umbrella for decoration and serve
Variations : PUMPKIN COCONUT ICE-CREAM
Before churning in SOFTEL, add 2 tablespoons fresh grated Coconut along with prepared method. Rest of the method remains same.

MOM MAKES LOUSY BIRYANIS BUT GREAT SOFTEL ICE-CREAMS!
On Mother's Day, my son Binal Patel participated in an Ice-cream making competition and won Ice-cream packs from HAVMOR ICE-CREAMS IN TIMES OF INDIA-HAVMOR ICE-CREAM COMPETITION

HALL OF FAME RECIPE!
FLYING SAUCERS
WHAT I NEED:
A Small Bowl
Choco Mint Ice-cream made in Softel
10 Large Cookies
(Coconut cookies
for Choco Mint Ice-cream)
(Chocolate Cookies for Mint Ice-cream)
Spoon / knife / Foil wrapper
WHAT TO DO:
1. Empty the
Ice-cream in a bowl
2. Stir it with a spoon until it softens a little
3. With a butter knife, spread the softened Ice-cream on a cookie. Cover it
quickly with another Cookie.
4. Wrap the Ice-cream Sandwich in a square foil and pop it into the Freezer
5. Prepare other Sandwiches accordingly
6. Freeze the Sandwich for at least 24 hours
HINT:
Work quickly while making Ice-cream Sandwiches
HOW TO SERVE:
Serve guests or at Tea time :
Take a Plate and place the Ice-cream Sandwiches with lot of grated apples in the center with a pinch of cinomom powder and topped with cherry.
